Can I book a private event?

You bet! We’ve a few options for private events and larger parties. Our private dining room, called The Nest, opened in June 2025, located just next door to our main dining room at 123 Founder’s Ave at the intersection of W Broad Street & West Street in Falls Church, VA. The Nest can welcome up to 50 guests for a seated occasion and up to 75 for standing receptions. We can also combine the space with the main dining room at Ellie Bird for larger events like weddings, corporate functions, and social celebrations.

Whether you need a space for your book club, bachelorette, or office holiday party, we also partner with our Founder’s Row neighbors to offer enticing packages that showcase the best our community has to offer. Think bachelorette bundles with facials and manicures, wellness days with a private group fitness classes followed by a celebratory brunch, or dinner & a movie events featuring a private screening at the newly opened Paragon Theater.

What about parking?

The Founder’s Row garages have a touchless validated parking system (so fancy!) Register your vehicle by license plate on arrival and use code “ellie50” for 2 hours of free parking. Your confirmation email and text messages from Resy will also include this validation code to share with any of your dining companions who may be arriving separately. You can also find local street parking, and we’re just off the W&OD trail.

Please note: the garages offer a default of 20 minutes of free parking; to park for longer, select a longer duration and use our validation code “ellie50”.

Do I need a reservation?

We advise making reservations for dinner on weekends, and for the most popular seating times (6:30pm-7:30pm) during the week.

We do take reservations for brunch also, Saturday and Sunday 9:30am - 1:30pm, but we usually have more availability for walk-ins at brunch.

How far in advance are reservations available?

Reservations become available on Resy 3 weeks in advance. Link available from our reservations page.

Can I order takeout?

Fun! We often offer holiday packages, like Thanksgiving Feasts and Snowday Suppers. Join our mailing list for announcements for those special events. And while our Ellie Bird menu isn’t available for regular takeout yet, our sister restaurant Side Chick, an egg-citing fried chicken restaurant, that is available for pickup and delivery.

Is there a patio?

As our patio is weather-dependent, we are not able to offer outdoor seating in the winter. When the weather is friendly to outdoor dining, we open the patio for reservations day of (just to be sure of the forecast); if you’d like to sit outside, please make note of this in your reservation notes and we’ll adjust your reservation to the patio, weather-permitting.

What options are vegetarian or vegan?

We always have a starter and entree that are vegetarian on the menu. However, we are not able to accommodate vegan diets with our current menu without advanced notice. As with all restrictive diets, options will be more limited for vegan guests compared to guests without restrictions. Email us at info@elliebirdva.com for more details.

What if I have allergies and dietary restrictions?

Thanks for letting us know! Currently, we cannot safely serve guests with true, complete allium allergies. We can usually accommodate most other common allergies and dietary restrictions. As not all ingredients are listed on our menu, please let your server know in advance of ordering. If you’ve complex allergies or overlapping restrictions, please email us in advance at info@elliebirdva.com.

We serve many common allergens including tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish, dairy, and gluten, so if the chance of cross-contamination is problematic for your allergy, we do not recommend dining with us. #livetodineanotherday.
